Bladderwrack is an algae or a sea weed which is available in different oceans worldwide. It is also known as fucus vesiculosus. Bladderwrack soothes and treats hypothyroidism and its symptoms naturally. As iodine is present in high amounts in it, it stimulates the thyroid and reduces the size of the thyroid goiters thus restoring the functioning of the gland. It is used popularly all over the world for curing many other diseases other than hypothyroidism. People suffering from rheumatoid disease also have benefited from this supplement. It even acts as a natural laxative for people suffering from heartburns. It is available in the form of a dietary supplement; the prescribed dose is 600 mg of bladderwrack capsule to be taken 1 or 3 times a day.
